As promised, here is the completed list of toxic ingredients used by American food manufacturers. Click here for the complete list. If you happen to spot one or more of these ingredients in your favorite food(s), use it as an opportunity to try something new.
I used to love a good cup of coffee, but realized that I’m sensitive to caffeine, so I switched to decaf. Years later, I ditched the decaf, tried various disappointing coffee substitutes (like this one), and discovered Matcha tea. Matcha is a rich, finely ground, green tea powder that is naturally processed, without the use of chemicals. I love the sustained boost of energy that Matcha provides, iced or warm, sweetened or unsweetened, but enjoy it most as a latte. In fact, I don’t miss the adrenaline spike/crash from caffeine at all.

If you are a woman suffering from low energy, brain fog, weight gain, and other Menopausal challenges, stay tuned. I will be sharing more content from the cookbook I’m working on with Dr. Stacy Sims, geared towards women’s health and nutrition. Her book Next Level (I highly recommend) based on decades of research on female specific nutrition and performance, helped me to understand the, at times, debilitating effects of Menopause.
